  End of summer

Summer is definitely over, we had sun today in Paris !

I have been quite busy during the last month and did not update this blog, but I was busy in a good way : spending some nice vacation :)

I'm now back and did update my Mandriva packages, became maintainer of qemu package (and updated it for recent kvm, added erwan's patches for PXE boot, a patch from the ML for multi interface USB devices support, ...), fixed some issues in tetex package (but I won't become maintainer of this one), fixed/updated/rebuilt some old unmaintained packages, improved YOURI's Missing check, ... Well usual stuff...

  WebKit in GNOME

After Epiphany which got WebKit support during GUADEC, Frédéric Péters coded today some support for WebKit in devhelp !

How long until we no longer need Gecko in GNOME ? How much memory will we save ? Who will port Yelp ?

I think the locking issue was due to an issue in the spam filtering code that failed without releasing its lock.

Now you can answer again when I ask questions :)

  That's linking !

While building WebKit, it spent some time on a very long command line: it was linking 1047 objects ! I think this is a record (and ld was using 650MB memory) :)
